Archivers' headers count!
Each file is compressed into compressor's name on greenish-yellowish background in italics = newly added into the table
separate archive bold black numbers on yellow background = the best result in this column
bold black numbers in italics = the worst result
red numbers (bold in italics)= compressed file is the same or even bigger size than original file (and the worst result)
Thanks to following people gray background = archiver couldn't be run in best mode (mostly due to RAM limiations)
for their contribution: 11KZIP doesn't decompress by itself, 7-zip 4.42 was used for decompression
12 QuickLZ compressor family (de)compresses so fast that it is hardware what really limits (de)compression speed.
- LovePimple
- encode    Notes: These results may not be the best results for each used compressor. However, I have not found any better combination of parameters.
- nimdamsk          Each compressor is tested for maximum compression, NOT for speed.
- Idris Kubatayev          All compressors are tested in 32-bit Windows, if not stated else.
- Fallon          Test files are not available online.
- Christian Martelock          (De)Compression times measured via Timer 3.01 by Igor Pavlov (global/wall time).
Decompression speed = (uncompressed size / decompression time)
Testing set: Athlon 64 X2 3800+, for some tests 2GB RAM (~1800MB free), for other 1GB RAM (~700MB free), SATA HDD
